Incase You Missed It...The Fall

I'm not sure if this was in theaters or not, but if you're looking for something different and fun to watch then check out Tarsem Singh's 2006 film The Fall. This is from the same guy who directed The Cell and if you remember anything about that movie (besides that naked, scary, body-builder woman) it was how cool it looked. Well, the same goes for The Fall. Visually it's awesome and the director claims that no CG effects were used in the making of the film. That's hard to believe, especially nowadays, but if it's true than he's a pretty innovative guy. The story is a little strange at times, but very charming. It takes places during the early 1900s and is essentially a story within a story. A depressed, suicidal stuntman and a little girl with a broken arm, both of whom are in the same hospital recuperating, become friends through their boredom and spend their days together making up epic stories and just genuinely goofing around so as not to go insane from just lying in bed all day. It's a likable film and the perfect watch for when you don't feel like doing shit or watching another rerun of Scrubs.
