28 WEEKS LATER
Being a big fan of horror movies (and not liking a vast majority of them) i am always excited when i see one i actually think is really good! What makes a good horror movie to me is....
it HAS to be dark. I can't stand teenie bopper horror movies. I know what you did last summer, etc...
It has to fill me with a sense of dread or despair. Since i don't get scared by movies anymore i at least have to feel horrified by what i saw or feel doom while watching it.
And last it has to stay with me for the rest of the night. I don't want to forget about it as soon as i leave the theater.
This weeks selection is one of my favorite horror films of this decade. I have a few and this is in the top 5 since 2000. The original was a great zombie movie with a twist. Was unique in a lot of ways and i enjoyed it. But the sequel is on another level. This is what a horror movie should be like. Dark from start to finish and doesn't apologize for it. Make sure you see the original first.

I'll have to watch this again, but I remember not liking it too much. Same goes for 28 Days Later. Good, but something was missing for me in both. Although, I'm not sure what and I really like zombie films too.
