T-roy's Movie Club (Week 5)

Below is an excerpt from my review of Eyes Wide Shut.

Last night i watched Eyes Wide Shut for the first time. I am not sure why i didn't see it before but i am glad i finally watched it. There are a million words i could use to describe this film but i think there are two words that just about do the job.
Fucking BRILLIANT!

As some of you may or may not i know i tend to love movies that make you think and that have multiple layers to them. Well this movie has all that and more. As soon as it was over i told Irena that i didn't want to discuss it with her until tomorrow. Generally with a movie like this you really need to take a day to reflect. Well we came together after work and had an hour long discussion about it. This is after i had a 2 hour discussion about it with my friend Dan at work. It's really genius in every way. The story, the lighting, the acting, and the directing. The attention to detail is almost unreal. It's crazy to think that somewhere put that much thought into making a movie. But then again it is Stanley Kubrick and we all know he is a beast.

I really don't want to tell you to much about it because it's really best to be surprised. All i can say is that if you like deep movies and you like to think about a movie afterward then it's a must see. If you don't like those types of movies you will absolutely hate it. It's really a love or hate movie.

Love, anger, infidelity, sex, life, money, power, the illuminati, death, guilt, humans, marriage, loneliness, prostitution.
