Well i posted an article a while ago that went over Tarentino's favorite films of the last twenty years. One of them was dogville. I didn't know about this one as i didn't know about quite a few of his selections but his comment about it forced me to see it. He said "Arguably the greatest script ever written." Now coming from him that is big praise. I also know that he tends to over hype stuff that he loves which we all do. So i am know i am going to over hype this but...
If you have 3 hours to watch a movie that is basically a play that is fairly boring for the first 30 to 40 minutes but at the same time becomes a masterpiece then watch dogville. I loved everything about this and i don't see any flaws in it. This is not for the average movie goer though you really have to love great writing and non commercial films. If you are used to commercial formula you won't get it here. But if you are willing to stick with it once you start it you will thank me most likely. At the same time you could hate it. LOL. But i loved it.
