Wanted Review

I just got back from seeing wanted with Irena. She has been wanting to see this movie for a long time because she is an Angelina Jolie fan. I heard a lot of comparisons to the matrix and that made me very intrigued to see this one being that The matrix is one of my favorite films. The Matrix was groundbreaking, brilliant, ahead of it's time, artistic and inspiring. This movie.... was really cool to look at.

Ok first of all there were alot of things they tried to do in this movie that really was ripping the matrix off visually and story wise. It took me about half the film to just let it go. I had to tell myself (i know they are ripping off the matrix but just enjoy it anyway.)

Visually it was brilliant. The CGI was amazing and it was really fun to watch and the cool action scenes and Angelina Jolie. The acting was pretty good. I don't know why Morgan Freeman is in every movie now. He tried to be Morpheus but it just didn't work. i was thinking.. they should just get lawrence fishbourne and be done with it.

The story.

Basically it's an action movie with a predictable plot line and and sometimes ridiculous story. The way they get their assignments is laughable. The fact that they can slow down time (Not really but that's the effect they are using I.E The Matrix) is silly because they aren't in a computer generated world and there isn't anything in there that has any meaning behind it.

Saying all that i actually do recommend this movie if you like action films. It does that REALLY well and its fun to watch.
