Probably one of the saddest songs ever. Enjoy.

WTF? I Still Love Her
In the video below, Kirsten Dunst covers "Turning Japanese" (a song thought to be about masturbation) while dressed as some sort of Anime character and dancing around Tokyo. Is it a promotional video? Movie tie-in? Was she bored? Your guess is as good as mine. Enjoy.

The Beatles & The Wu-Tang Clan, Like Eggs & Beer

You know how you have these two favorite things and always wondered what it would be like if you could somehow combine them to make something so awesome your head would explode? No? Trust me you did at one time. For some it's different combos of food: peanut butter & bananas, ham & pineapple, chocolate and popcorn, eggs and beer (one of my personal favorites). For others it's collecting the perfect combo of athletes to form the best sports team ever (i.e. fantasy football). For Tom Caruana of Tea Sea Records it was his desire to bring two very distinct musical groups together and make a great album. The result being his Wu-Tang vs. The Beatles "Enter The Magical Mystery Chambers".
A lot of reviews are comparing it to Danger Mouse's "The Grey Album" and with good reason because honestly what other Beatles-inspired hip-hop albums are out there? Blah, blah, blah... whatever. I could care less about the comparisons because this album stands on it's own - despite it being a rehash of songs we already know. These versions of Wu & Beatle songs will never compare to their respected party's originals, but there is definitely something that makes them work for me. You can find the whole thing here for free and below is a new version of C.R.E.A.M that appears on the album.

Why Does Anyone Not Hate Nickelback?
These guys are too easy to pick on, but damnit I can't help but to agree with this video. Nickelback has become the poster child for all that's wrong with music today (especially "rock").

This proves that you can make a record with ZERO talent. Unreal (Lil Wayne, on fire video)
I am not sure what's worse... the fact that he is pretending to be able to play the guitar, while the song is obviously sampled from the Scarface soundtrack. (which looks like he is just mocking it) or the fact that there is no assemblance of a song here whatsoever or that fact that he's supposedly doing rock music and there is a bunch of autotune on it. WTF! Do they expect people to buy this bullshit? If i was a lil wayne fan i would be insulted.

MNQNN - Getaway

One of my favorite songs from the band i used to be in. Started off doing sound then moved to guitar. Some of my best friends were in this band and friends we will stay 4ever. Actually one of the former members runs this site with me. Weird huh? Band is no more unfortunately but the music lives on!

K-Os - "B-Boy Stance"
This video is from Canadian rapper (yup, you read that right) K-Os. It's from his second album Joyful Rebellion. I will never claim to be an expert when it comes to Hip-Hop, but I know what I like and K-Os is an artist that seamlessly mixes diverse genres of music really well and his albums never disappoint. You can find out more info on K-Os here. Enjoy.

Across The Universe - I want you (She's So Heavy)
THis is my favorite scene from Across The Universe. It's I want you (She's so heavy) by the Beatles. Around 2:20 is pretty powerful. I love the way they used this song to talk about the Vietnam War.

New Dream Theater Video - Wither
I think this is by far their best video. They are usually a little weak but this one is very cool. I like it.

Them Crooked Vultures

I'm usually not interested in "supergroup" bands, however this one seems like it's going to rock! Don't get me wrong the idea of having a band made up of famous musicians sounds cool, but they hardly ever live up to the potential or at least the imagining of what they set out to be. With that said, it should be noted that there have been a few supergroups that were really great (Audioslave), some that were ok (A Perfect Circle, Zwan), some that were just annoying (Velvet Revolver), and some that left you asking, "who would ever listen to this shit?" (Alter Bridge, Angels & Airwaves).
Now comes along the latest supergroup - Them Crooked Vultures. Comprised of singer/guitarist Josh Homme (Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal), bassist John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), and drummer Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) TCV looks promising. So far they've kept their campaigning to a minimum and not let the fact that they're all accomplished musicians take over the spotlight. Whereas a band like Velvet Revolver constantly told people, "hey look at us! we're cool and you should like us because were a mashup of STP & GNR!", Them Crooked Vultures have taken a subtle approach about broadcasting their star-power and genuinely seem more focused on their music (like bands should be). Basically the band comes off being real and pays more attention to music than how cool they think everyone should think they are. Their album comes out Tues, 11/17, but for now check out some videos from them.
